Be Prepared for an Emergency

Recognizing the signs of an emergency is just as important as knowing what to do and where to go. If your pet exhibits any of the following, they need immediate pet emergency care.

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Disorientation or trouble walking straight
  • Collapse/unconsciousness
  • Suspected broken bones
  • Signs of extreme pain (whining, vocalizing, wincing when touched, etc.)
  • Excessive vomiting or diarrhea
  • Blood in vomit, stool, or urine
  • Struggle to urinate (particular to male cats)
  • Ingestion of a toxin
